Joshua Patrick Allen is an American football quarterback for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL).
Born on May 21, 1996, in Firebaugh, California, and was raised on a 3,000-acre (1,200 ha) cotton farm. He attended Firebaugh High School and later attended Reedley College, a junior college.
Allen committed to the University of Wyoming, enrolling there prior to the 2015 season. n his first year he played in two games and made one start before suffering a broken collarbone which ended his season.
He then qualified for a medical redshirt, returned from the injury in 2016, and was Wyoming’s starter.
After college, he was drafted by the Buffalo Bills as the seventh overall pick in the draft, trading up from 12th overall with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to make the selection.
